Uber Whole

John 14 :12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Years ago my elementary son asked me a collegiate question… “why is the world so angry?” My response, without hesitation, was one that flesh and blood did not reveal: “perhaps it is because the world is mad at the church or Christians. If anyone can do something to make the world better it should be us. However we are too busy living and acting like the world”.

Riding along in my automobile….

Tonight I had 2 Uber passengers that were in pain. Justin was just blindsided by divorce papers. When I arrived at Sammy’s, it was closed and I wound up taking him right back to his hotel. At that point, he kept saying he didn’t want or need to go there. I told him he would be alright and will get through this. He will discover later why this was for the best. He affirmed that he believes in God and I reminded him that is all he needs.

Zach only wanted laughter. He was picked up at the movies, stopped at a liquor store and went to a Southside bar. He sat in my car and shook my hand 3 times before exiting 4 minutes later.

They both had plans on drowning their sorrows in boobs and/or booze.

Handle with Care

The world is not only angry, it is hurting…

I’m mindful of Regina King’s pain due to the suicide of her only son & child. SELAH This 26 year old man is remembered as ‘A bright light who cared so deeply'… makes you wonder who hurt him…

Cliché correction

There is a saying that hurt people hurt people… well that is not biblical. Actually hurt people (through Christ) become whole people and whole people heal people and Jesus makes them whole. This is part of the greater works…

Uber Whole

Examples are in Matt 9:20 when the woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of his garment and became whole. That stitched a crease to Matt 14:35, 36 which says,

35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;

36+ And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

Also with the woman at the well in John 4. She asked Jesus for living water and sobered her town with wholeness based off her testimony and presentation of Christ.

39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. 40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. 41 And many more believed because of his own word;

42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

By definition uber means: designating a person or thing that exceeds the amount norms or limits of its kind or class:

The issues, sorrows, pains and shames of these women lead the men of that place and many more to wholeness. SELAH

VEHICULAR THERAPY

...That is what I call my Uber driving. I‘m drawn to it. In the dream realm, vehicles represent ministry. This is my rolling “Go Ye therefore” pulpit.. whether we talk it up or ride in silence.

It serves many purposes. But overwhelmingly, it’s for nights like tonight. When every ounce of pain, hurt and frustration can experience the alchemy of brokenness into wholeness. Join me in praying for the Justins and Zachs of this world as I pray for the women with issues and the well women. May wholeness overtake the children of God.

May we be made Uber Whole along with our healing. May shame be far from us and we walk gratefully in God’s purpose. Lord restore Your love unto us 7 fold as the thief has been recognized and caught. Do the work, God as only you can. You are Uber God. And May you be Uber glorified.
