When anyone experiences an infirmity, the one thing that person wants to be is better. Ranging from a cough and cold to even a health scare.

Fractured not Broken

I once fractured my wrist. I can still remember that day. I was, in the 6th grade, with my best friend playing volleyball on the tennis court with a soccer ball. My Lord…. so many things out of place in this story. Minus all the details, I fractured my wrist running to one hand volley that soccer ball back across the net.

Now whether I give all the details and include the theatrics or I just stop with the summary, no one questions or pontificates whether my wrist is healed or not. The doctor’s X-ray was sufficient. If I rub my wrist or jam it or am protective of it some 40 + years later, it’s only what it is: a rub, jam or protection, etc.

HOWEVER, there is no X-ray for the heart. Even the Bible speaks the following things of the heart…

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

Ecclesiastes 7: 3 Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better. 4 The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning; but the heart of fools is in the house of mirth. 5+ It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.

…God alone, is the heart’s X-ray technician!

Diagnostics

Converse to the example with the wrist, as a woman, I have seen when a woman speaks of past matters of the heart with a man, many people erroneously diagnose women as “unhealed”.  The delivery and the time that passes is often a factor for the hearer. Theatrics (tears, tone, cadence of voice) can make some listeners disengage from the content and rush to diagnosis as if the air in the room is now fowlly unbearable. 😷 A stoic, matter of factly presentation can often prick a nerve too. You can give information but not perception.

Lord, the "unhealed" diagnosis is like saying women have spiritual fibromyalgia. 😂 I have heard that fibromyalgia is often the diagnosis a woman is given when they don't know what is wrong with her. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Lord, Jesus, help us! 🗣️ Your daughters need help down here. They down here taking Viagra and giving the women Prozac! 😂🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ 🙏🏽

Having ears to hear but not hearing and not seeking God out for the matter is like giving a spiritual prescription of Ritalin…. Just zombie her out till she doesn’t talk about it any more. If she does, ask her if she’s taken her meds.

That’s wild ain’t it? But that's my best, overarching metaphor for those who did not understand the heart matters.

Crap 💩 in - crap 💩 out

I recently learned a lot about sewage and septic tanks.  3 very important components are the tank, the filters & the field lines.

The tank is the dumping ground. It will get all the waste. The effluent filter prevents the field lines from getting clogged. The field lines are underground venting for the liquid matter.  In time the tank must be cleaned out. It can be pumped out and or it can be handled with/by bacteria.

But for certain, no one likes to deal with your crap 💩. (See my poem below I wrote years ago). Trust and know, everyone is not able.  Sewage doesn’t mean you’re not healed, constipation does! 😂

I now diagnose you BRIDE AND GROOM

My final words are to give a proper perspective of mankind to us all.  Think of her as the bride. Think of him as the groom. Think of God as the husbandman (it’s a farming term).

I don’t care if a woman is not healed or if she is: WASH HER with the Word. This is the work of the groom. The title is also a verb!

It’s not a slight not to call the man the husband; he is... but for this illustration, just painting a picture and separating personalities with titles. This is not a theological stance. It’s a picture to keep in our heads. See EVERY GIRL as a bride (protect her from violation and keep her clean… without spot or wrinkle. Teaching her to prepare for her groom). See EVERY BOY as a groom (keep him clean cut, shaven and smelling good. Teach him to groom himself and his bride). Seeing God as the husbandman makes us remember what he planted us in… a garden 🪴. Be fruitful and multiply. Genesis 1 & 2 and Ephesians 5 will take us a long way!

I submit to you all that many have been doing marriage wrong…. It has been such a servantile one sided circus of human worship (idolatry) which looks like a septic tank with no effluent filter and no field lines.... There is only so much crap 💩 one can take before it backs up into the house and it hits the fan!!!! 😂

Notice I specified no gender above. You know your house. But if this makes you tight and defensive, check yourself… Speaking for the ladies, helpmate is not a servant. And to my sisters, your groom is not your father. Serve the Lord with gladness.

27+ And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28+ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Hebrews 12

 1. This is easy for God.

2. Ask God to give you a song in your heart.

MY POEM

#12 They Don't Want To Hear It.  12/10/2010

"So how was your day?" They often say just trying to make conversation.

But if you go on and on, till the break of dawn, you remove all their elation.

"There's been lots of rain falling lately", as they talk about the weather.

Reiterate how it makes arthritis act up, next time they'll be more clever.

You lost a loved one and people come by in support for a week or two

But sooner or later they expect you better. Live on! As all of us must do.

Or maybe someone has broken your heart and wiped on it their shoes.

They want your step to turn to a pep. That is enough of those sorry blues.

What is it about our human ears that only want to hold

The stories of the sparkles, of the glitter and of the gold?

They don't want to hear it cause they have not a clue of what they need to do.

Cause, quiet as it's kept, they can not help, cause they have their own problems too.

I'll listen to all you have to say But look to Me and seek My face

I'll wipe all your tears away and I'll teach you how to run this race.
