Mustard Faith

“And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.”

Mustard seed is referred to 5 times in the Bible but has many applications: Kingdom of Heaven parable, mountain moving faith, great tree for fowls to lodge, great herb & here, sycamine root removal. (Once heard Creflo say, “you sick of yours, well I’m sycamine too 🤣).

DERIVATES

Did you know that the mustard plant 🌱 produces: Broccoli 🥦 ,Brussel sprouts, cauliflower, kale & collards🥬 , Kohlrabi & cabbages (red, green & savoy).

Grain of Mustard seed faith is a “domesticated derivative” faith!

DOMESTICATION

According to Wikipedia, “domestication is a sustained multi-generational relationship in which one group of organisms assumes a significant degree of influence over the reproduction and care of another group to secure a more predictable supply of resources from that second group.The domestication of plants and animals was a major cultural innovation ranked in importance with the conquest of fire, the manufacturing of tools, and the development of verbal language.” Sounds a whole lot like dominion to me!

DERIVED FROM THE WORD

• The woman with the issue of blood went for a healing in Mt 9:20 that germinated/domesticated to wholeness. Furthermore, many Mt 14:36 men touched the hem of his garment & were made whole.

• How about the centurion whose faith authorized/domesticated Jesus to simply speak the word based on his knowledge of authority?!

• The woman in John 4 went to a well for water and had 6 men. But her faith in Jesus gave/domesticated her Living Water which saved her city! (39-42)

WHAT’S YOUR DOMESTICATED DERIVATIVE?

Think about the people in the Bible how they used their faith. What if the woman above with the issue of blood was a seamstress? What if the 4 men who tore off the roof to lower their paralyzed friend down to see Jesus were demolition men?

Sound crazy? Heard of crazy faith? Well, it’s crazy NOT to use your faith!

Let me bring this home (domesticate: Thy Kingdom come , Thy will be done on Earth 🌍 as it is in Heaven… Domesticated faith allows God to tabernacle or dwell with you!!!).

Sooooo, who are you? What do you do? Use that to relate, germinate, breed, domesticate, specialize…. God specializes! God relates! Create a derivative of faith! 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ And what a beautiful garden this will be!

Let’s get back to Eden! Remove the sycamine and mountains. Water the herbal garden of your faith and allow God to unearth the tree of life for you, your city and this world by faith!

The Harvest is plentiful! I pray the Lord will send faithful and faith filled laborers!!!

To embody the full context of verse 6, you must know that Jesus spoke these words in response to verse 5: “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.”

I have heard that if you are planting a mustard tree, you must plant it away from various fruits and vegetables because they will taste like mustard!!!! {ohhh insert COGIC praise break.} 🗣 May the children of God 🗣 muster up the ever increasing faith 🗣 that will be salt and light for the earth so they can taste 👅 and see 👀 that the Lord is Good!!! 💃🏼 🕺🏿
