Job 3 Rewritten in Life

Updated: Jan 13, 2021

Christian Standard Bible

Job‘s name means res.

“After this, Job began to speak and bless the day he was born. He said: May the day I was born flourish, and the night that said, “A boy is conceived.” I love and am grateful that day had turned to LIGHT! That God above cared about it, AND light shined on it. May darkness and gloom FLEE it, and a cloud dissipate from it. May what darkens the day NEVER terrify it. PRAISE GOD WHO HOVERS OVER DARKNESS so that darkness CANNOT TAKE that night away! May it forever appear among the days of the year and be listed in the calendar. Yes, may even that night be fruitful; may joyful shouts be heard in it. Let those who bless days be heard, those who are ready to rouse the King of Kings!. May its morning stars grow light. May it wait for daylight and have bright light; may it see the breaking of dawn. For that night did not shut the doors of my mother’s womb, and hid sorrow from my eyes. PRAISE GOD I was I not stillborn; I didn’t die as I came from the womb! I love and am grateful that did the knees receive me, and there were breasts for me to nurse! Now I certainly lay down and sleep and arise in peace. IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING, I am at rest with the kings and counselors of the earth, who rebuild ruined cities for God, or with princes who have gold, who fill their houses with silver.

I am not hidden like a miscarried child, like infants who never see daylight! The wicked cease to make trouble, and the weary find rest. The captives are completely at rest; they do not hear a taskmaster’s voice. Both small and great, and the slave is set free from his master. Light is given to one burdened with grief, and life to those whose existence was bitter, who waited for life, and it does come, and search for it more than for hidden treasure, who are filled with much joy and are glad when they reach eternal life knowing God!

Life is given to a man his path is revealed, whom God has hedged in! I rejoice when food is put before me, and your praises pour out like water. For my faith in YOU has overtaken me, and fear and dread shall never prosper in me. I can relax and be calm; I have rest (I am rest) , for turmoil has ceased.”

‭‭Job‬ ‭3:1-26‬ ‭CSB‬‬
