“2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. 4 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.”
Genesis 1:2-4 KJV

points of darkness
Today's writing is a tapestry of experiences, glances, chances and overheard conversations. I absolutely love my life without a hint of sarcasm. I thrive best when I see God in it.
When I seek for good, a way out of darkness, a perfection, you will find me in the first 2 chapters of Genesis. Here are some takeaways from the 2 verses above.
Darkness existed before Light.
But the first shall be last and the last shall be first. Some battles where there way before you came along. Don't get caught up in anyone else's issues. Be Light.
Darkness is seen but we speak Light.
Your voice has more power than your eyesight. Don't give the enemy your voice. Darkness is empty and void. It has no substance or value. It wants to use your voice to give it form, order and direction. Choke it with silence of its existence. Rather use your words to create Light and Love. For with these things come joy, peace, goodness, kindness, patience and meekness.
Darkness is like hunger and they both have an opposite. Enlighten darkness and feed hunger and the negative goes away. Oh taste and see that the Lord is good! Be Light.
Darkness and light coexist but cannot cohabitate.
I read somewhere that all the darkness in the world cannot put out the light of the smallest candle.
Darkness is looking for companions. But it has no staying power and will always get exposed by light. The light of God will either drive or draw. If darkness is drawn away from you, rejoice!!! Be Light.
God divided darkness from Light.
This is a praise break right here. Thank God for separating us from everything that is not Light. 5 6 7 8
Reminds me of a prayer I pray (when my bowels move).
Lord, thank you for taking away & out from me
Everything that's not suppose to be
Nourish me and cleanse me from within
In the name of Jesus my Savior, Amen.
Flush and be light.
Speaking of Light
This is what I say to and of the Light.
You are good.
You are better than any darkness.
You are imitated but not duplicated. You are made for the Day.
You have a glow about you.
You outshine.
You are bright.
Your energy is fire.
Remember God is a consuming fire who will burn a bush and walk a fiery furnace with you. It’s only fitting for your light to shine also.
All things work together for our good. All this happened for you to shine.
As you shine remember that light also means not heavy. Though the context of above is different, I still say to you, Be light!
If ever you find yourself in a dark place speak 🗣 light.
Look at God
Read these scripture from the book of Job.
3 He setteth an end to darkness, and searcheth out all perfection: the stones of darkness, and the shadow of death 11 He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light. Job 28:3,11
“So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes. Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God. Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.” Job 32:1-3 KJV
We spend entirely too much time seeing life from our point of view rather than viewing life from the light of God. I recently heard someone say that we can’t look on God’s face neither can we see our own. When we look in a mirror we actually only see an image, reflection and likeness of our face.
This blog would be meaningless if I didn’t address the fact that each one of us contend with darkness at various points of life and of the day. Like Job, we are righteous in our own eyes and we condemn others that we have no answer for.
Think of taking a selfie 🤳 and/vs group selfies. You will not like every picture (which represents darkness) and when we group together, the harder it may be that we all like this picture at the same time. Glorying in your own light is like posting the picture where you thought you looked the best but the rest of the group had unfavorable expressions and you knew it.
Let us justify God instead of ourselves!!! God spoke light into being. God never intended for man to walk in darkness. God has no shadows for there is no darkness in Him. Magnify the Lord. Let us exalt His name together. What does that look like? When you capture sunlight with a magnifying glass 🔍 the sun ☀️ is harnessed to produce fire! 🔥 God has a time and place when He will take that picture and all of His children will look good in it eternally!!! That place is found in Him.
God is the Point of Light. Otherwise we are merely ships moving in the night that will be lost or crash.
The Revelation of Light
Finally the last time the light is mentioned in the Bible is as important as the first.
Revelation 22
1+ And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2+ In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3+ And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4+ And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5+ And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6+ And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
Jesus is the Light of the world and was given by God. So is (be) light.
Prayer
I pray...
Ephesians 1:18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints
